In January, Start Garden announced the launch of the 100 Ideas program with a consortium of banks as a no-strings-attached way to fund people to take a shot at new endeavors each year. It’s a community-wide investment in the businesses and organizations of tomorrow. Come and pitch your idea at this live event! Don’t hold back. Take a chance on yourself. At 6PM, Allen Derusha will present air-sensor devices and systems. Mr. Derusha is working with Grand Rapids’ Department of Environment Quality (DEQ) to deploy air-quality monitors that will be internet-connected when Grand Rapids’ LoRA network is fully deployed and activated. Two detectors are currently mounted at the local EPA air-quality monitoring station. These are recording data to a cloud-hosted analytics platform open to the public. This project started with a LoRA dev kit distributed at an IoT WM meeting in March, 2017!
