This Is YOUR Future

There are just so many things that affect Your Future as an inventor, how could you possibly have any control over them? We try to do our part by informing you of various opportunities but it is up to you to make the most out of those opportunities. Our monthly meetings are the corner stone of your education.

For example, this Saturday 3/9/19, I don’t care what industry you are working in or how you plan to bring your product to market, you will need to interact with corporations. You will need to know how they think.

Karen Kilpatrick is going to give us a peek behind the corporate veil of the toy industry. Just think about the millions of submission they must get in a year. Just how do they determine which ones to proceed with? How can you use that information to give yourself an advantage over your competition?
How can you let yourself miss this meeting that is SO important to YOUR Future? Register now at  http://bit.ly/2V7oAQo and be there at 12:30 when the doors open.

Do you let your creativity just aimlessly float around like a paper bag in the wind or are you honing your skills to become a Professional Inventor? The answer will tell you your future.

On 4/13/19, Ron Sargent will show us all how to take our creativity to the next level. All you have to do is register here http://bit.ly/2EkgwVG   and get there when the doors open at 12:30.

This Is Very Important

YOU Need To Take Action to revive your Intellectual Property Rights. There is a whole lot going on in Washington. In all honesty, we cannot follow it all but it is imperative that we respond to this initiative. Please go to http://bit.ly/2C3vwqB and follow the instructions before March 8th. All you really have to do is cut and paste some copy then email it to  [email protected]

This has to do with Defining an Abstract Idea. Personally, I have mixed emotions about this issue but in this case I find this action is heading in the right direction. Most importantly we will be supporting the New Director of the USPTO who has a number of great initiatives that eventually should revive all of our rights. You cannot just stand by and let others do the work for you.

YOU Must Take Action !!! Take 5 minutes out of your day to do something that will affect you and all independent inventors for the rest of our lives and then some. Do it NOW !!! Go to http://bit.ly/2C3vwqB .

This is Not in the directions but I suggest you put “In Support” in the subject line and sign it with your full name, address and phone number. If you put nothing in the subject line it will be rejected and you will have wasted your time.

Need Money?

The Florida Venture Forum runs huge events where companies are awarded Millions by investors and can attract Millions more from independent investors in the audience. For the most part these events are for establish companies looking to expand their operations.

http://bit.ly/2VzjzAk  is a link to an event for StartUps which is incredible enough but now to March 31st you can get an additional $100.00 of the registration. That is a measly $200.00 to get to pitch to a room full of money. This could be a dream come true if you are ready. If you are not ready, you need to get ready for next year. One good way is to attend this year to see how the winners presented their projects.

StartupPOP on April 3rd from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Cendyn Spaces 980 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton FL 33432 is another great event where you can pitch your project. To attend is FREE this time.  Go here for more details http://bit.ly/2HhitFu

The Dark Side Of Crowd Funding

Many of us know that Josh Malone the inventor of Bunch Of Balloons was knocked off due to a successful Kick Starter campaign. Apparently, this is becoming a trend or should we say a new successful business strategy.

Just a few years ago we had a speaker who promoted the very legal business strategy of finding  successful products in other countries then bringing them to market in your country providing they didn’t have a patent in your country. The concept is, why go through all the work, expense and risk of bringing a new untested product to market when you can simply add to the success of a proven winner?

Long time friend of the group, Don Debelak wrote an article about this very practice here http://bit.ly/2TgssCo . His new book “How To Turn Your Invention Into Cash” sounds great and is available in Kindle on Amazon.com.

We can only make you aware of opportunities and bring in great speakers who share their expertise with the group. It is YOUR Future. It is up to you to make your dream come true.

Hope To See Our Locals On Saturday,

Leo
