LOOK OUT !!! Here Comes 2019

2019 is coming at us like a stampede of wild buffalos. Your friends here at ISSF are setting the stage for a banner year for all of us. Starting with our January meeting at Patch Reef Park on 1/12/19 at 1:00 pm.

Maxine Pierson is a Successful investor, startup mentor and much, much more. I purposely wanted to bring attention to the word Successful because anybody with money can be an investor, anybody can create a startup but it takes a person with vision, talent and knowledge to be a Success.

Maxine IS that type of person. She knows what she is looking for when she is looking at a proposal. Within a blink of an eye, she can tell if the proposition has value or if the person is trying to elaborate beyond reasonable expectations. On top of that, she is a master of due diligence drawing on a lifetime of impressive achievements which you can see here http://bit.ly/2SkfkHU

If you really want 2019 to be YOUR year, you’ve got to get to this meeting on time. The doors open at 12:30 and Maxine will start at 1:00. You don’t want to miss a single pearl of wisdom that that this brilliant woman is going to share.

You Must register here http://bit.ly/2CxWZ4H before 12:00 midnight on 1/11/19 to attend.

FREE Inventor’s EXPO

It is FREE to Attend, FREE to Exhibit And FREE to hear our Speakers !

Actually, I kind of lied because it is even Better than FREE. What could possibly be Better than FREE? Winning Money !!!

That’s right, Attendees, Exhibitors and those who participate in the Pitch Event will have a chance to Win Money! I will discuss the details in future eBlasts but first, you are not going to believe our speaker line up.

Louis Foreman, prolific inventor, product developer, innovation enthusiast & small business entrepreneur will be giving a presentation on Successful Product Development.

As many of you should know, his company Enventys has developed products for large and small companies alike as well as independent inventors like us, for Free, if you are accepted into their development program. His award winning pbs TV show Everyday Edisons helped a number of inventors move ahead and the website with the same name runs all sorts of product hunts as well as other opportunities. He is also the publisher of Inventors Digest another fantastic resource along with many other accomplishments.

Stephen Key, The King Of Licensing ! Really… do I need to say more?
He and his team at InventRight send out congratulatory emails just about every week regarding students who have successfully licensed their products. He has written 3 books on the subject, has a very educational YouTube Channel as well as writing articles for Forbes, Inc and Entrepreneur magazine.

Stephen is also a successful inventor in many different fields ranging from toys to a manufacturing process for a packaging solution which received 15 industry awards, including two Edisons that he had to defend against a large international toy company and Won!

Both speakers will join Yours Truly to judge a Pitch Event where 7 Inventors will pitch their products to gain valuable advice from the panel and possibly WIN MONEY !!! Not to mention bragging rights that can be used on a website, sale sheet, other promotional materials or LinkedIn page.

More information about the EXPO and Pitch Event including how to register as an attendee, exhibitor and for the Pitch Event will be posted on our website www.inventors-society.net in the next week or so. You Must be registered to WIN MONEY!

As if that would not be enough, Eileen Fischlschweiger, Librarian, Senior/Patent and Trademark Resource Center  Representative Librarian will also be giving a presentation regarding new procedures and programs from the USPTO.

She also wanted me to forward the information below to all of you about Authentication Changes for the Electronic Filing System and Private PAIR. She said, “They have extended the deadline for use/migration to February 2019.  On February 15 people will no longer be able to get in using the PKI Certificate, but there will still be two weeks more to migrate.  Beyond March 1st one can’t migrate, and one will have to establish a verified account to use USPTO.gov account for access.  Also, the additional information sessions for early next year have already been posted.  So if anyone is interested, they can visit the webpage Authentication Change for EFS-Web and PAIR at https://www.uspto.gov/patent/authentication-changes-efs-web-and-pair?MURL=AuthenticationChange.”

For more information and continuous updates about the Authentication Change to EFS-Web and Private PAIR, please visit https://www.uspto.gov/AuthenticationChange

Additionally, you can find more information about submitting and retrieving DOCX under their respective Quick Start Guides:

www.uspto.gov/SubmitDOCX

www.uspto.gov/RetrieveDOCX

General details about the eMod Project and Patent Center can be found at: http://www.uspto.gov/patent/emod

If you need further assistance, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197 or via email at [email protected].

Of course, you’re also more than welcome to ask questions or provide feedback about DOCX and other initiatives under the eMod Project at [email protected].

Yes sir, 2019 is going to be a busy year.

So enjoy yourself tonight,
Uber if you think it’s right,
keep tomorrow very light,
then get your posterior in gear sir,
and let your dreams take flight.

Happy New Year,

Leo
