Gobble Gobble, Happy Thanksgiving!

November 2019 Newsletter Issue #24

“Forty years is long enough to wait for someone else to do something. I decided
it was up to me. So I did it. I did it for Mom. I did it for all the moms.” – Pam Turner

Congrats, Pam Turner, the inventor of the Spiral Eye Needle!

Spiral Eye Needles have a unique “slot and channel” opening on the side of the eye. The “stop bump” inside of the channel portion locks the thread inside of the eye.

Pam is a member of the Inventors Network.

The Alamo Inventors had guest speaker Sean Michael Ragan, author of The Total Inventor’s Manual, at one of their meetings in November. “Contrary to popular wisdom, you don’t have to be an ace electrician, a coding prodigy, or a mechanical master to come up with a game-changing invention! You just need curiosity, a strong desire to fix a problem that you see in the world, and the determination to see your ideas become reality—and this book, which will teach you everything you need to go from zero to inventor.”

Gift Grab Game, a product made by an inventor!

Created by Todd Miner: “A spin on the classic gift exchange game often played at family, office, church, school or other holiday parties where each player brings a gift to exchange, the Gift Grab Game adds a new, exciting element… CHANCE!
Unlike the traditional gift exchange game (or “White elephant”, “Yankee Swap”, etc.) where gifts are either kept or swapped, the Gift Grab Game uses a giant wood die to decide your gift’s fate! Roll to see if you KEEP, TRADE, or RETURN your gift! Included is a giant wood die, player cards numbered 1-25, instruction card, and canvas drawstring bag. Appropriate for all ages and groups of up to 25 players.” – Gift Grab Game
