NAI Fellows: NIHF Seeks Judges for
2019 Collegiate Inventors Competition

Once again, a unique opportunity has been extended to NAI Fellows by the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF). NIHF seeks your assistance to serve as a first round judge for the 2019 Collegiate Inventors Competition (CIC). As a first round judge, you would evaluate 3-5 competition entries in your chosen field. Entries and the opportunity to evaluate them will be made available electronically.

To learn more about judging the competition, please refer to the CIC Judging Application. For questions, or to volunteer your time, please contact Anthony Scharf, Program Relations Coordinator for the Collegiate Inventors Competition, at [email protected] by June 7.

We hope you will participate in this great program and assist the organizers in inspiring the next generation to innovate and create. In addition, be sure to share the competition with your students and encourage them to apply before June 7th.

Texas Heart Institute (THI), founded in 1962, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the devastating toll of cardiovascular disease through innovative and progressive programs in research, education and improved patient care. THI scientists, physicians and engineers are recognized internationally for significant advances in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, small molecule therapeutics, stem cell and gene therapy, cardiac pacing, heart assist devices (VADs), artificial hearts, valve repair and replacement and regenerative medicine. Through their translational basic and clinical research programs, THI is generating new knowledge about the underlying causes of heart disease, and the ways in which we can better treat and prevent it.  Additionally, THI’s commitment to education sets them apart from other institutions. With initiatives that range from postdoctoral and continued medical education to public outreach and scientific publications, THI is dedicated to spreading awareness and sharing advancements in the field of cardiovascular research and care globally.
