A Whole Lotta Good Stuff Goin’ On

There are some incredible opportunities I want to share with you.

I apologize for not getting this out sooner and you will have to jump on it to take advantage of it. Bob Oros, a good friend of mine and the group, has this great opportunity for next week. Here is his cell phone 203-820-8527 and email address [email protected]

A friend his has arranged for a large 20 x 20 booth at the upcoming Las Vegas Licensing show next week which includes his products and those of about 8 others. He just reported one ‘tenant’ had to abandon ship and now has a spot for rent for $3,500. The booth is in a high traffic area including professional sports leagues. He also has a block of rooms set aside. Total investment he indicated was $5,000 including booth, air fare, hotel and meals.

Baking Show

If you have never heard of the Great American Baking Show you probably don’t watch PBS. It along with its’ international cousins, the Great Australian Baking Show and the Great British Baking show are late night staples. Here is a link https://abc.tv/2Lb8l0N .

We got a call from the casting director. She is, of course, looking for amateur bakers that would do well on the show but this time she is looking for a scientific twist. I told her about one inventor and she was intrigued. She pointed out that the inventor could talk about the product during the profile section of the show. If you have a baking related product, you can’t buy publicity like that.

Another interest could be engineer bakers. I was doing a food product a while back and ran into this chat room of engineer bakers. They argued over minor details like the physical size of the best salt crystals to use in a particular recipe.

The producers of the UK Phenomenon “The Great British Bake Off,” are once again looking for America’s best amateur bakers.

This is your chance to make history and be a part of this globally beloved format!

Are you ready to compete in the ultimate baking battle to be crowned the Best Amateur Baker in America?

Can you bake perfect pastries, exceptional cakes and beautiful bread?

Does someone you know create memorable baked delights for every occasion?

Are you an amateur baking genius ready to show off your skills?

If so, we are currently taking applications and would love to see you in the tent!

If you are selected as one of this year’s competitors, you will:
· Travel to England to compete in the world famous “Bake Off” tent.
· Possibly take home bragging rights as the Best Amateur Baker in America.
To be selected you must:
· Be at least 18 years old & a legal US resident
· Have not completed any formal or professional culinary, pastry and or baking training, unless it was more than ten years ago.
· Have never worked as a full-time baker, cook or chef, nor must your main source of income be derived from baking.

National Survey

I got a call from Matt and then 2 notices from other groups about this. The copy below came from David Woods President of the Inventors Counsel of Central Florida. Krishna “Kris” PAUL of the Inventors Network Of The Capital Area also sent me a notice about this and the Independent Inventors Conference which will be the next item.

The National Science Foundation has funded the development of an Inventor Survey for the Center for Science and Engineering Statistics. Researchers at Stanford University, in cooperation with a consulting firm, are currently working on the project.

The project will help us understand the invention process across the United States, and the barriers people face when trying to capitalize on their inventions. Another outcome of the project will be a set of recommendations about how best to assist private inventors in their work.

As part of the project, the researchers are interviewing inventors about the invention process.

If you have invented something, and are willing to complete a 1 hour telephone interview, the researchers would like to talk with you. Anyone who completes the interview will receive a $45 electronic amazon.com gift card.

In order to be eligible, you must be 21 years old or older and have invented something during the past three years. You must also complete the online application available by clicking HERE, or by cutting pasting the following application location into  a web browser address window: http://mattberent.com/CIS0330181.html.

Thanks so much for your help,

The Matt Berent Consulting Team

Inventors Conference

I have been telling everyone about these conferences forever. They are incredible. They pack so much information into a weekend that it could take another week to absorb it all. I use to go every year and if I can break away I am trying to go this year.

A new twist for this year is it is FREE! You know how much I Love FREE. All you have to do is register and show up at the USPTO Campus in Alexandria VA on August 17 & 18 2018. If you haven’t been to the Campus, you will be in for a treat. It Is HUGE ! At the conference you get to wander around behind the scenes.   Here is the link http://bit.ly/2rSfR8J

That should keep you busy this weekend,

Leo
