The NAI Announces the Senior Member Program

The National Academy of Inventors presents

The Senior Member Program

Nominations will open October 1, 2018. Subsequently, nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis, and selections will be announced quarterly.

Last week, NAI Member Representatives from each of our Member Institutions received the details of our newest membership category: the NAI Senior Member Program. This membership category, which falls between chapter member and NAI Fellow, acknowledges active researchers with success in patents, licensing and commercialization who have produced technologies that have brought, or aspire to bring, real impact on the welfare of society.

Senior Members foster a spirit of innovation within their communities by enhancing an inventive atmosphere at their institutions, and they educate and mentor the next generation of inventors. We are thrilled to announce this program at last and to welcome countless new inventors to our community.

  • Access to a global network of the top academic innovators and inventors
  • Mentoring opportunities between Fellows and the next generation of inventors
  • Opportunity to serve on the advisory committee among peers to evaluate Senior Member nominations
