According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, IP-intensive industries directly and indirectly support at least 45.5 million jobs, which is about 30 percent of all employment in the United States! COVID-19 has spurred independent inventors to action. USPTO Director Andrei Lancu recently revealed that “small and micro entity patent filings at a historic high, with more than 112,000 filed during the first 11 months of fiscal year 2020.”
Intellectual property is also complex, and the laws that govern it can be downright confusing.
