Join us next month for 1 of 2 workshops Department of Defense (SBIR) Phase 1 proposal workshops.  One will be at the ISU Research Park in Ames, and the other will be held at the NewBoCo Foundry Lab in Cedar Rapids.

DOD Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts provide small businesses (less than 500 employees) with $150K for a Phase I project focused on Proof of concept and $1M in Phase II focused on Prototype development and field testing in the form of contracts. Successful projects will also have Phase II opportunities selling into the DOD. The Defense Department funds a little of everything including IT and healthcare.

Attend the workshop and find out how your company can take advantage of this non-dilutive capital.

The workshops will be led by Jim Greenwood, who has taught workshops at National SBIR conferences for over 15 years, served as an SBIR reviewer for multiple agencies, and who has reviewed over 1,000 draft proposals. This workshop coincides with the February 7, 2018 DOD solicitation deadline.

The workshop will provide an overview of the SBIR program with a focus on DOD and other contract agencies. Participants will learn what it takes to win a DOD SBIR and go through all the sections of a typical proposal.
