How do you create a product with a WOW factor? Join us on August 5th for our next Educational Webinar with Serial Inventor, wicked good problem solver, & insightful advisor, Lisa Lloyd! At 4pm Pacific, learn about how to produce a product that has a WOW factor!
Lisa’s success began with her idea for a barrette. While working for the CBS affiliate in Tucson, AZ she often wore her hair up in a French Twist. Friends and co-workers regularly asked how she fashioned the professional up-do so she began to scour stores to find a barrette that would help. When she discovered there was nothing on the market she decided to invent one. A short thirteen months later she had patented, manufactured, sold to stores and ultimately licensed the patent to Scunci® for 20 years of regular income. The product is now sold in stores around the world and has generated over $20M globally! Since then Lisa has licensed 6 more products to major distributors including Goody Products®, Scunci®. and Helen of Troy®. Additionally Lisa is the founder of the Inventor’s Association of Arizona and has been consultant for hundreds of small businesses and startups as a contractor for several Accelerators in New Orleans.
Lisa has spent nearly two decades as a speaker and trainer on the subjects of innovation, licensing and business development. Lisa is passionate about consulting startups, budding and seasoned inventors. She’s a forward thinker, voracious learner and always looking for new ways to be of value to entrepreneurs and innovators.
Towards the end of each webinar we hold a live Q & A for our guest speakers, but we don’t have enough time for every question. Send your question early to support with the subject, “VIP Question to Lisa” to be considered!
The Webinars are held on Wednesdays at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern
We will share a recording of each presentation on our site. If you have signed up for a past educational webinar, you don’t need to sign up again.

A Kids IP Book! – By Becki Lee
“Intellectual property affects everyone. Even from an early age, children consume books, movies, and music, and start to recognize logos. Kids are not likely to learn about trademarks, patents, and copyrights in grade school, so they go by what they hear in pop culture. That information is often flawed. As children grow into young adults, they become songwriters, authors, artists, and entrepreneurs who could use intellectual property to support their dreams.
But there is a barrier to entry in terms of truly understanding their rights, because only lawyers are formally trained to navigate the issues. Our children deserve to be empowered by learning the basics about copyrights, trademarks, and patents as early as they can.
Do You Draw Pictures? is a small step in that direction, using easy-to-understand language and fun illustrations to help kids understand intellectual property and how those rights apply to their own lives. Pick up a copy today so you can help the future generation of artists, inventors, and entrepreneurs learn to protect their creations.”
