What is a design patent? How does that differ from a utility patent?
Learn the basics of the design patent system from a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) design supervisory patent examiner.
This session is geared toward inventors, entrepreneurs, and all those who would like to learn more about patents and have a beginning to intermediate knowledge of the patent system.
The State of Arizona Research Library’s Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) will be hosting live webcasts of presentations from the USPTO’s San Jose Regional Office. For those unfamiliar, the USPTO established regional offices in Denver, Dallas, Detroit and San Jose to give inventors, entrepreneurs, and small businesses the added benefit of a USPTO presence in every U.S. time zone.
One way the San Jose office is reaching Arizona, is by partnering with the Patent and Trademark Resource Center to livestream events held at the San Jose Office.
Webcasts can be viewed onsite at the PTRC, located in the Polly Rosenbaum Archives and History Building, 1901 W. Madison St. Phoenix Arizona 85009. Please note that food and beverage is strictly prohibited.
