They just came out with a very simple resolution with the 3 points that we all agree need to be addressed. The timing is crucial because there are two bill coming up that will help us, as well as all the work the new Director of the USPTO, Andrei Lancu, is doing to raise awareness and repair the current system.
We have to admit it to ourselves that by Washington’s standards we do not have the sufficient numbers to have a significant impact on the powers that be. It takes hundreds of thousands of signatures to get them to sit up and really take notice. That’s why, more than ever before, every single signature counts.
Without strong patent rights our whole economy will go right down the toilet. Why put in all the time, effort and money into developing something if you are not going to make a profit on it.
This is the corner stone of the American Dream. That it doesn’t matter where you start, if you work hard, keep your wits about you and apply your talents, you can archive anything you desire or at least get darn close.
Just like inventing or anything else for that matter, this is not a one and done. It is going to take a lot of work to get back to where we once were. Personally, I am working on some things to help the cause but this is a great first step.
So please take a few minutes out of your day or night to sign the resolution. They are also organizing groups to meet with their representatives locally and in Washington. Whatever you feel comfortable doing … Do It !
Do it for the Independent Inventor Community. Do it for the economy. Do It For You!!! It isn’t being selfish if it’s for self preservation.
