MTC Expo – Huge Success for Exhibiting Inventors

Trade Show Director, Cathie Kirik gives us a post show review from the MTC Expo 2018 Inventors Pavilion

Held April 24-25 in San Diego, CA, MTC Expo gave us beautiful weather in a beautiful location and lots of beautiful inventors with their creative products in the Inventor Pavilion.  As the UIA Trade Show Director I had the pleasure of overseeing this event where inventors could showcase their new products and great ideas to industry leaders of Direct Response marketing and advertising, and I have to say the energy was intense!  I spoke to each inventor to learn about their journey to the Inventors Pavilion and everyone seemed pleased with the opportunity to pitch their products, make connections and receive valuable feedback from industry insiders.

UIA Awards Top Inventors from MTC Expo

The United Inventors Association awards 3 top inventors at our shows in recognition of their efforts in bringing their products to life.  While it is always a difficult choice, the MTC Expo winners this year were:

UIA Pinnacle Award (Best in Show)
The Pinnacle Award (Best in Show) was awarded to Michael Van Horst, Level Art.
Between the rulers, hammers and nails, we’ve all struggled with hanging pictures, or at least hanging them straight. If you’ve got Level Art, that’s a problem of the past!
This genius All-in-One, easy to use tool hangs pictures straight the first time, every time.
Congrats, Mike! We loved it!
Most Innovative Concept
Denis Perrin, Pro Leveler:  Ever gone to a restaurant and sat at a table that wobbles or maybe even in your own backyard, well his product will fix that.
Best Marketing Effort
Larry Schessel, Clakit Strap Packs:  Makes better use of the straps on the front of a backpack rather than putting everything inside keeping valuables safe and easily accessible.
Highlights from the
2018 MTC Expo Inventors Pavilion
Congratulations to our winners and all our exhibitors at the Expo.  Good luck with your endeavors as you move forward with your products!!

Silicon Valley International Invention Festival

July 2-4, 2018 | Santa Clara, CA

The International Federation of Invention Associations (IFIA) and the Korean Invention Promotion Association have joined together to present the first Silicon Valley International Invention Festival. The event will take place July 2-4, 2018 in Halls A&B of the Santa Clara Convention Center. The UIA, the World Intellectual Property Office and the City of Santa Clara are patrons for this event.

Events planned include seminars and panel discussions on topics surrounding intellectual property and invention. The only way to see this event is to participate as an exhibitor. If you have an invention and have filed a provisional patent application or a non-provisional patent application or have received a patent this event is for you.

Fifty free booths have been set aside for the first US inventors to register for the event.
This is an opportunity to display your invention and have it judged against other inventions from around the world. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to inventions judged to be worthy of the medals. Additionally, awards for exceptional merit will be presented by multiple countries, the UIA and the USPTO.

For more information about the festival, visit the www.sviif.com. For more information on how to secure your free exhibit space, please email me directly.

I hope to see you there,

John Calvert | UIA Executive Director
