The Invention Gender Gap

The National Academy of Inventors is proud to announce a new special issue of Technology and Innovation, Journal of the National Academy of Inventors: “The Invention Gender Gap,” which explores the disparity between men and women in inventorship.

The issue features articles by and about women in the inventive community, addressing topics such as feminist advocacy in patent litigation, women innovators in technology transfer at academic institutions, women’s participation in STEM fields and the importance of education in equalizing inventorship.

The full publication is now available on Ingenta, where you can explore each individual article. Click here to read the issue highlights.
