Dear IGA,

The new AV equipment our host AMN Healthcare installed in the conference room that allows us to teleconference and share screens works great. Thanks AMN!

Our latest supporter / contributor Danny Gali has worked to integrate the Skype link with our presentation audio and video.
Enjoy the background music, that’s Danny’s too!
Thank you Danny 🙂

Big meeting this Thursday!
United Inventors Association – UIA President Warren Tuttle will be presenting and speaking on how UIA helps Inventors.  “Besides my open Innovation efforts with Lifetime Brands and Techtronic Industries I also help a lot of folks in the Direct Response Television space.”

Our Inventors of the Month are Karina Rabin and her husband Jared inventors of the Hang-O-Matic and creators of the “Pitch to get Rich”

https://www.hangomatic.com/

We thank Andrew Krauss Coach, Speaker, Licensing Expert and InventRight co-founder for agreeing to be our first offsite, video guest Speaker who came to us live via Skype!

Our Speaker of the month last month was Andrew Krauss!

“As the Co-Founder and the day-to-day manager of inventRight’s operations for over seventeen years, Andrew has seen it all-and coached inventors through it.
“At this point, our students have experienced every scenario you can possibly imagine,” he said. “Whether it’s communicating with a company that has never licensed an idea from an outside inventor before or signing a multi-million dollar deal, we’ve done it.” He continues to be inspired by the opportunity to work with people who are not only passionate about their ideas, but also committed to making money from them.

Andrew  discussed how to make your “list”.
An outstanding presenter speaking on a majorly important topic!
Thank you Andrew!

GOP Congressional candidate for the 49th spoke about patents

GOP Congressional candidate for the 49th Joshua S. Schoonover, Esq. spoke to the SDIF at our last meeting April 12th.
Josh is a patent attorney and has inventor friendly views!

http://joshuaschoonover.com/

In this critical time for patent owners, Mr. Schoonover could have an opportunity to help enact some of the most important new laws for patent owners since our countries birth.
Good luck Josh!

IGA was in DC April 17th – 19th!

It happened! The Inventors Groups of America, United Inventors Association, United States Inventors and the Inventors Project along with A Squared Technologies, Inc held the first National Conference in Washington DC April 17th – 19th.

I was delighted to represent SD inventors at the USPTO and on the Hill at this historic event.

40 club leaders and inventors visited the USPTO on the first day to discuss today’s issues with the top people in the organization and learned their side.
The next day we assembled and visited 30 of our representatives on the hill to educate them how patent laws effect our economy and future.
Together, IGA represented inventors from coast to coast that were united for the first time in our countries history. Our voices were heard!

I am also proud to have won this award!
Adrian
We would like to extend a sincere congratulations to Adrian Pelkus, leader of the San Diego Inventors Forum, and Christian Corley, president of the Inventors Center of Kansas City, for winning The Market Institute‘s 2018 Innovation Leadership award!

I thank Charles Sauer for presenting me this award.
Looking forward to telling you all about at this Thursdays meeting 🙂

Come to the SDIF meetings and meet fellow inventors 🙂

Help for inventors and innovators is here!!

Tell your creative friends and invite them to attend Thursday’s evening!

Every month we discuss the most important things needed to bring ideas to life and create wealth.
Come to our meetings and learn about inventing, innovating and the process of bringing new products to market.
Prepare your questions about inventing and ask local experts at Thursdays meeting.
Bring your idea and see how the attendees react! This would be a “public disclosure”.
You will either save money or make money by being sure your idea is customer ready first.
Hear and learn about important topics to help you prepare for launching your venture.
Mark your calendar for San Diego Inventors Forum monthly meetings!

“SDIF – The Place to Be
SDIF monthly meetings are the ideal place to get help on all aspects of inventing as well as make new contacts. Unlike other inventors’ organizations, we have no costly annual dues or membership requirements. All you need is a desire to learn about the world of inventing and to network with like-minded people. Whether you’re an inventor, innovator or a service provider, SDIF is the place to be the second Thursday of each month!” Judy B.

Inventors rally against PTAB’s at the SCOTUS made world news. This is the biggest case about IP in recent history!

Individual inventors, inventors groups and clubs across America are now united to fight for our right to prosper from the labors of our minds as our forefathers insisted be a private right .
USI is proud to lead the charge!

United States of today is not the same country where the famed garage inventor can become a business success thanks to hard work and ingenuity. Today, the true beneficiaries of innovation seem to be those well-entrenched interests who can copy without great fear of reprisal, leaving the actual inventors without any true ability to commercialize and profit from their intellectual property.
Steve Brachmann on Jan 03, IP WatchDog

January USI revisited DC to discuss this with many in Congress.

Proponents videotaped the meeting of USI discussing our US Inventors Act Bill with Congressman Louie Gohmert, Texas. These patriotic inventors came in from coast to coast to voice their concerns.

Thanks for your support, caring about your, your kids and your fellow inventors rights.

US Inventor has filed several Amicus Briefs to inform the Supreme Court of our issues, one of which has 31 inventor groups as interested parties.

To help protect inventor rights, we demonstrated at the Supreme Court on the morning of November 27 to keep patents property rights as written in our Constitution Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8
“To promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries” .
This is the only place in the constitution the word “right” is used.
It was that important then and it even more today.

Here is our video of the SCOTUS rally!!!

New Director at the USPTO!

Andrei Iancu Confirmed February 5!!

Inventors rejoice to hear a professional with real world experience is becoming Director of the USPTO.
Reason expects changes soon to remedy the catastrophe left by the previous Director.

None too soon as our patent system has withered and our economy is suffering as a direct consequence.

Our future still has a chance!

US Inventor Petition

Recently I thanked Stephen Key for his and InventRight’s support of the US Inventor petition!  Here is the post from Stephen himself >

The patent system in the United States is not what it once was.

Our friends and colleagues have expressed increasing concern over the past few years. We’ve been listening.

Today, we’re asking you to sign the petition for patent reform.

This petition was initiated by Paul Morinville, an independent inventor who has been in Washington D.C. and is now traveling around the country tirelessly to advocate on behalf of all of us. The other champion of this cause has been Adrian Pelkus, President of the San Diego Inventors Forum, who has worked continuously on behalf of independent inventors everywhere.

This petition is also supported by Louis Foreman, President and CEO of Edison Nation as well as Warren Tuttle, President of UIA.

Please, get informed. We’ll be doing our part by seeking out and bringing you the best advice and insight possible.

If you’ve been affected by the new patent laws, we want to hear from you.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Stephen Key and Andrew Krauss, inventRight cofounders
